As a user and not a developer...

This forum is excellent. The conversations, postings, discussions, bugs, feature requests, etc... really help people like me understand, appreciate, and occasionally help shape, where MekHQ is going...

So I have read with great interest and subsequently a whole load of despair the recent plethora of bug posts, all by our new fan "Anonymous".

Why am I writing this... well to DerekPage and to PhoenixRising, I take my hat off to how well you have kept your cool, and to the feedback provided...  To everyone else, I too say thanks, for posting under your on name, giving full details and descriptions, of treating bugs as atomic entities, and for actually reading the rest of the bugs to avoid duplication.

Heh.  You should see some of the error reports I get in my day job...

...and that's after they've been filtered through level 1 support.

And that doesn't even take into account some of the stuff I've seen from QA.  :Smile

Try telling someone to stop using the cd-rom tray as a drink holder. Or better yet that we no longer offer support for the DOS program months after Win XP is released then getting my head chewed off because he paid good money for his software oh so so so so so so so long ago (Pilots are so cheap... this guy was running a 386 and a 9600 baud modem).

Heh.  There's reasons my company doesn't let me talk directly to customers anymore.
