What are the future goals of MekHQ?

I would like to see that feature (along with manually entering damage for units) implemented.  How can I help make it happen?

Both of those features are on the priority list for a post-stable. So helping us sort out bugs and move to a stable is the best way.

Also given all the information that is in tracks in the Chaos Campaign system or with unit special ability is there any chance of something that would allow adjustments to Piloting/Gunnery/Tactics in each game?

For example:  The aerospace pilots of the Ninth Raven Wing Cluster are adept at ground-support missions and thus receive a –1 to-hit modifier for all attacks against ground targets

Well thats an example of the many force special abilities that are in the field manuals. Many of them are situational. I have thought that it might be nice to comb through all of the known cases and make many of them into pilot SPAs and then create an ability in MM to give an entire force an SPA (rather than assigning it one-by-one). Your example would be very easy to implement, but many are more complicated.

There are also scenario specific rules that are very situational but are not necessarily tied to units. That is a good deal more tricky and time-consuming.

Its all idle talk at the moment - both MM and MHQ are working towards stable, so there is a ban on new features.

I've actually already started on force abilities as psuedo code on paper that I plan on implementing once we're post stable. I've done it for off map movement and overrun combat so far, but of course this will be awhile Wink
